I recently bought a couple Banana Plant (Anubias nanna?). I have not had any in the last twenty years. How much light? Do you put them in substrate? What type of water regular or RO? I put one in each type of water. Do they bloom in the right conditions?

Banana plants are generally Nymphoides aquatica, a water-lily type of plant, that usually puts leaves on the surface of an aquarium. Push it a little ways into your gravel. My experience is that they do better outdoors, but they grow and flower indoors, too. Good for a anabantid tank. Probably not very picky on water quality.
