I thought this was discussed once before but I can't find it so maybe it was on the old forum.

    Can you use these: https://jobescompany.com/product/jobes-houseplant-plant-food-container-spikes/
for aquarium plants? I have some swords and crypts that are starting to look pitiful and was wondering if I could use these to help get them healthy again or what would you recommend instead. I have some organic larger ones that are suppose to be for in the garden but wasn't sure if I could use those either.

    I don't use Co2, and I know I won't remember to fertilize on a regular basis.

I have used those in the past with little issue. Cut or break them in half for each plant and be sure they are fully covered. Issues came from using too much and not covering them with the gravel.
