What eats these things and can live with tetras and small s. american cichlids?
Where can I get pea puffers?
I have been making snail traps and baiting with broccoli, then release the little plecos in the morning. Slow process but its slowing them down.
assassin snails is what i am using.
Where can I get clean loaches locally? I'd order long distance if I could get delivery on a Saturday, but places like Wetspot only deliver M-F.
Sometimes Paul has some at Living Art but it's hard to find quality loaches. You might be better off seeing if someone can accept a shipment for you and ordering from a reputable online dealer
If I have them delivered to work can I safely leave them in the bag until 2:30?
Yeah, they should be fine, just make sure you check them when they arrive
Pet World has Clown, Tiger sand and Yo-yo in right now. Got them a few weeks ago.
Possibly can trade some small ones around 2.5-3 or large 4" for a some nice led light 36" or longer or cash can see how much you buying for. Lmk trying to thin out my colony.
jcvang - are you talking about loaches or pea puffers?
Got to be loaches, pea puffers don't get that big
Loaches I don't have any puffers
So did any of the loaches solve the problem? I currently have a tank that is over run with mts.
No, Loaches can't get to the snails because the shells are hard and twisty. They can, ironically, eat assassin snails.
Did you find anything that did work?
Has anyone had success in ridding their tanks of these pest snails? If so what worked?
