Is there anyone in the club working with threadfin rainbows (Iriatherina werneri)?
I know that a few people have them. They are easy to get eggs from, but the fry are very small. We have a very nice bunch of them at PWW right now. They are the strain from Valley Fisheries (OddBallFish.com) with a lot of red.
I picked up a Trio awhile back I have not noticed any eggs but have been on the road a bunch since I got them.
I've definitely been looking at the ones from oddball - very nice.
Let me know if you get some fry!
Oh! And what part of the tank do they seem to frequent? Top? Middle?
middle to top in my experience. If Gary Lange pops in he would be a good one to ask. Stop by petworld warehouse and watch the ones in their display.
