    Greetings,

I am using an Aqueon hood with a floursecent Aqueon® T-8 Full Spectrum Daylight Fluorescent Lamp. I have the Marineland 21" blue led accent strip on the front of the 29 gallon. Should I get a bulb with more red such as the Aqueon Floramax bulb?

    Thank you!

The number you want to find is something with the color temperature of 6500-6700K. I suggest Menards. They sell a full line of T8 bulbs in 6500K, and I suspect that they have the short ones too. If you go with an aquarium brand, read the labels. ZooMed sells a 'Flora-Sun' bulb that is supposed to be for plants, but they have a better bulb marketed at marine tanks that is actually 6700K (I forget the specific product name).
